I haven't been able to post for a while, my adorable puppy dog Audrey decided to use my laptop cord as a chew toy. So now i am borrowing my moms laptop. Tuesday night i went and stayed at my parents house, since i had class on Wednesday at midland. My car is at the repair place right now, and i have this stupid rent a car. It smells really bad, and is not nearly as nice as my Bug. Oh well. We are almost totally done at Hunters Ridge Apts, i can't wait. I have been thinking of having a house warming party for friends and family, maybe the 1st sunday in june... I had a job interview on friday, it apparently went really well, because they called me last night and told i got the job. Which is amazing, but today i had the task of giving my two weeks notice. Not so fun, it turns out they will actually need me to work the two weeks, so i will start my new job May 12th, which is Ralphie's first b-day. I am really excited i found something so quick, i haven't felt comfortable where i am now since day one. But i gave it a good shot, I started there march 1. The new place has offered me a front a desk position, they matched my current pay, and will give me benefits. They are only about 5 further away from the house, so it shouldn't be to bad of a drive. Plus it's near Ian's work so on really bad weather day, maybe we can carpool. So i am going into this with the most positive attitude i can. Being an adult sucks. I liked it alot more when the most important thing i had to worry about was homework. It's funny how that seemed so big back then, but compared to jobs, and bills to pay its nothing. Speaking of school, i really want to try to take at least one class this summer, it all depends on the hours i will have at my new job. But i might at least try an online course through UMSL.
Friday night we spent some time with Kyle, we went into town and listened to the Navy band play. We got dinner from Rudy's Ribs. I cannot tell you how much i love Rudy's Ribs. It's so delicious, i have been waiting for them to open since we moved in.
Saturday we went to Sarah's house and i met her new baby who they named Freddie. Well not so much a baby as he is a puppy. He is so cute, hes a Westie, and she got him Flaw Dogs the same place we got Audrey.
Sunday night we went to dinner at the new restaurant Beatniks. It really colorful, and the food was great. Right now they have a half menu I got French Onion Soup, and Ian got Potato Skins with pulled pork on them. They also gave us a sample of a dish i was curious in. Its a stuffed pastry crust, its stuffed with Brie, and it rests on top of raspberry sauce, with a piece of mint. It was really good, i was surprised since im so picky i didn't expect to like it. We have been looking at new laptops. Ian wants to take over mine, and im looking at a new dell. So hopefully soon.

Wow, I worked alot of hours this week, between that and my cold no wonder i look so tired lol. We went and got the car inspected yesterday and learned some very interesting information. One of my back taillights are totally cracked, and two of my airbag sensors have been triggered. So we called Keiser Iszu and we are supposed to take my car there next week. I am just really happy we got the warranty, but im not going to pay the 100 deductible because i am not the reason for the damage. We have company in from out of town this weekend Ian's best friend Willy from West Virginia. We went to Joe's Crab Shack with ians family thursday night and i couldn't resist getting a picture of Ian in his crab bib.
We had planned to have Willy airbrush one of the walls in the spare bedroom. We couldn't decide what we should have him do, my only rule was that i didnt want any naked ladies on the wall. So you can imagine my surprise when i came home and found a copy of a piece by one of my favorite artists BANSKY.
He did it freehand, and its really close to looking just like the original, im really impressed, and excited about. The only problem is now i actually have to do something with that room. It would be a waste to keep it closed all the time. So now im thinking of turning into an office area. I would really loved to get one of those great desks from Ikea or Pottery Barn. But now i have a color scheme, black and red something different lol. Well we have company so gotta go. More later

Happy Belated Easter

Easter has come and gone. Not to exciting this year. Went to Ian's parents and had Lamb BAAA.. I still feel guilty. I love eating at two houses every holiday. No really i do, and for a very strange reason. Both of our families eat some sort of sweet potatoe. It's one of my favorite things to eat. I still tease Ian that I married into his family for the "orange stuff" his mom makes every holiday. I have had 5 servings of sweet potatoes in the past 48 hours. Honestly if i turn Orange we know why. We stayed with his folks for a few hours, and then went over to my brother dons house. We brought both dogs with us, and there was a total of 5 dogs at the house. LOL.... They all got along pretty well, all except for Harley who was put in timeout. This is chopper.

We got a pleasant surprise, my other brother, his wife, and their two kids showed up. I was really excited because i haven't seen my niece or nephew in a while. I managed to get a pic of my two nephews being silly. I think they are on a skateboardAnd this is my niece Emma. She is very sweet but she just started being camera shy.
We got some candy from my folks, and my mom got us Marley and Me on Blu Ray. So know i can cry watching the movie at home, and in the highest of definitions. I have to work all week open to close, so i might not be blogging much this week. Plus I am really super crabby, starting to get a cold, and just frustrated with everything right now... ARGGHHH!!! I need to have some fun this weekend.. Any ideas?

A good day... of shopping anyways

After a great breakfast of french toast, and biscuits and gravy at a diner by the house called Allens, we headed out for a busy day. Or so we thought... We met a guy and traded some musical equipment, then to Varitees bird store for an easter present for yoshi. We should have gone to the apartment and cleaned, instead we went to Petco and got easter presents for the dogs. Then to Garden Ridge were i found my chair. We went with black its really the only color that will match, plus we hope to get a fence soon, and it will most likely be black. It looks a lot like this.
We went to Target and got some stuff for easter, and they were out of reese's eggs...I have to look for some tomorrow. But at least i found some cadberry eggs, and some stuff for my nephews easter basket. Instead of getting him candy and junk, i got him some books, The Bernstein Bears, and a book about parrots my brother is getting him a parrot soon. We also went to the hostess store... I love the Hostess store, we got so many yummy snack cakes very cheap. Had dinner with my parents at Long Horn, mhmmmhmm.. steak.... Got to go bed.. work in the morning.
Managed to get Audrey to sit still long enough to get this..

I gave in

I finally gave in and started a blog, I hope to learn a little bit about myself, and why i do what I do. I guess I will start with today, typical thursday off. The guy from design air came and looked at the air vents. Of course they won't make the noise that they normally make so the guy just took my word for it. He added a strengthening bar and said he could come back if it doesn't help it. I have learned that owning a house and renting an apartment are totally different. So many things can go wrong.. and we have to figure out how to fix them. At least most of it is warranted.. We haven't have that many problems, just funny sounds in the pipes and vents. After a long rainy day hanging out with the pups, i log onto my facebook account and find out an old friend died... It makes me so sad, we had lost touch and i haven't seen him in years but the memories are still there. I hope that wherever he might be now he is at peace. Tomorrow we are going to the old apartment to hopefully get it cleaned up and ready for the carpet cleaning guy. And maybe i can talk Ian into a trip to Garden Ridge, I really want one of those deck chairs and maybe a porch swing for our porch. There are so many different colors to choose from. Our house is Orange with cream trim... would black be too halloweeney???
