My new camera is great!! I love it so much. I really think my pictures are improving.
Yesterday was our 2nd wedding anniversary. I got Ian a guitar pedal specially made by the artist and personalized. I think he likes it!! Dr Scientist even included a t shirt!!
And i got a cactus which me and the girls from work named Pretty Darn Prickly.. but he goes by PD for short.. Get pd as in pupilary distance.. eye doctors office never mindAnd....I know you are thinking i have way too many cameras already... But in my defense only 3 are in working order... But this one is a good every day camera, plus it has a screen on the front so we can take pics together and know what they look like as we are taking it. Which is a great feature for a couple with no one to take pictures for us. Besides aren't you glad it wasn't another pet... LOL Our zoo is full.
We are going to the flea market and junk yard on sunday and im thinking of bring the olympus. There could be some interesting photo opportunities there. I know every weirdo with a camera thinks they are an amateur photographer, but its fun and i needed a hobby other than just reading.
Oh ya i almost forgot i am trying to be more active so we are walking after work, and i also got some roller skates. It's funny to watch me try to skate but hopefully i will start improving soon. It's better than sitting on my butt all day right?? And i want to start swimming but i have never been a good swimmer. But i like being outside more than i used to. I am tanner this year than i have ever been in the last few years. Now i just need to talk Ian into letting me buy my canoe for the lake at new town...... Hint hint....

Since we finally got our tax return, we used some of the money on a new toy for me. I am now the proud owner of the Olympus PEN E-PL1!!!
I have wanted to get more into photography for a while now. I couldn't decide on a camera at first in fact i bought this same one last weekend, and returned it. But going from the pictures i took with this and looking at my other photos i realized i missed it. So here it is again. I'm so happy it really is an amazing piece of equipment. It has a lot of features that i can't use yet, but as i learn i can use more and more of them.
I can't wait to take it to the zoo, and grants farm and really try it out. I'm really happy we were able to get it before our vacation too!!
Tomorrow we are going to Pointfest for a little while. I have been sick all this week, and the only two bands we like are playing 5 hours apart. So i think we are just going to see the Flobots and skip Coheed and Cambria :(. Which sucks because their new album is really good. But we have already seen them twice and never seen the Flobots before.
I was lucky enough to be able to participate in Reddit secret santa for Arbitrary Day. I received dog bones. 4 wolf sized bacon flavored dog bones. The dogs were very happy.
I got my person a usb powered mini fridge from think geek. It holds one can and keeps it cold. I really hope that he likes it. I tried really hard to find out what he liked, but he didn't approve my friend status until i had already ordered this. Plus his comment history was pretty empty. So i decided to just get him a generic gift...
Starting to get sleepy, so goodnight....

I have neglected this blog for a few months.... And for that i apologize. Will you ever forgive me?
Been crabby the last few months.. I will blame it on the winter time. Sometimes i thing i have that Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Since it has been so long... I will bring you up to speed on what has been going on. We got a pug. We named him Seymour Chompsky. He's a little guy, hes seven months now and weighs about 7 pounds. I don't think he is going to be one of those giant pugs. This is him a few days after we got him, he is wearing a dog snuggie because we got him in the winter and he would just shiver and shiver.
And this is Seymour a few weeks ago Cinco De Mayo.
We also scrapped up enough money and had a fence put in. It's the best thing we have ever bought. Its great, when the dogs get to wound up we put them outside. And it makes the outside of the house look great.
We also put in a porch swing. I love my porch swing, i sit on the porch and read all the time. I also cut off my hair and dyed it reddish brown. It was a process first i went kind of short as you can see above. But then i went crazy and cut it all off. I love how easy short hair is. It's great because im super lazy. No laughing. My mom has surgery today. Nothing serious just repairing a torn rotator cuff. But to distract me Ian spent the day with me. We went to the zoo, and to the loop. We got to the zoo super early and had a great time. The elephants were really playfu
I'm really looking forward to this weekend. Gonna try and go to the Renaissance Fair in Wentzville. I have always wanted to go, we tried last year but waited till the last day and in rained. Plus the Shakespeare festival is coming up. And next weekend is the rubber duck race in new town. A few weeks after that is the Art Fair in the Central West End.
I will try to update on a more routine basis.... Till next time....
